Laguna Beach Unified School District recognized as a Digital School Districts Survey 2017-2018 winner by the Center for Digital Education
LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. - The Center for Digital Education recognized Laguna Beach Unified School District as a Digital School Districts Survey 2017-2018 winner for its innovative technology and digital learning initiatives.
The Digital School Districts Survey awards the U.S. public school boards and districts that most fully implement technology benchmarks in the evolution of digital education, as represented in the survey questions.
"Over the last five years, I’ve watched our staff and students create a culture of digital collaboration, working together to build inspiring learning spaces while using technology to solve real-world problems,” said Laguna Beach Unified School District Chief Technology Officer Michael Morrison. He continued, “We work together every day determined to achieve excellence, and that makes winning this award even more satisfying."
The Center for Digital Education (CDE) is a national research and advisory institute specializing in K-12 and higher education technology trends, policy and funding. CDE provides education and industry leaders with decision support and actionable insights to help effectively incorporate new technologies in the 21st century.
Now in its 14th year, the Digital School Districts Survey Awards recognize districts that are innovating in exemplary ways by investing in tools and learning models for next-generation learners. Winners of the 2017-18 Digital School Districts Survey Awards are recognized by the Center for Digital Education at the National School Boards Association’s annual conference each spring.
