Students submit their entries based on their interpretation of this year's theme.
How to enter:

  1. Download the rules and entry form (third page of document)
  2. Have fun and start creating! If you need more detailed rules for a specific arts category, you can also access more information.
  3. Please note that the Artist Statement accounts for 40 percent of a student's score, so encourage your student to put some thought into it!
  4. Drop off your artwork and complete the entry form at the Thurston front office. Deadline is Friday, October 22 at 2:00 p.m.

Please contact Reflections with any questions. We check this account frequently and will get back to you!

It is that time of year to clean out your garage and donate your unused sports gear and equipment to the Sports Swap!  Join the Thurston Middle School and Laguna Beach High School PTAs for the 13th Annual Sports Swap to be held once again at the high school stadium on Saturday, November 6.  Doors open at 8 a.m.  Please call or send a text message to Sports Swap Chair Jimmy Azadian (818-645-9177) if you wish to donate sports gear and equipment to this fun community event and fundraiser that supports our students at both Thurston Middle School and Laguna Beach High School.  All unsold items will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club of Laguna Beach.  Jimmy and his team of middle school and high school student volunteers will gladly come to your home or place of business to pick up your donated items, making it as easy as possible for you.  Or, if you prefer, you can make arrangements to drop off your donated items.  All donated sports items are 100% tax-deductible.

eBike Safety Video: We are seeing some concerning behavior as it relates to our eBike riders.  It is very important that families and students understand the rules and the responsibilities that come along with riding an electric vehicle. Our School Resource Officers have made this video for you to watch and discuss with your students who ride eBikes.  We encourage you to watch the video with your students and to have serious conversations with them about eBike safety.
