Great News!!!

We are honored to share Thurston's recent recognitions:
1. In January, Thurston was designated as a California "Schools to Watch - Taking Center Stage" model middle school.

2. In February, the OC Register identified Thurston Middle School as the #1 middle school in Orange County

3. In April, Thurston was re-designated as a California Distinguished School.

We are so proud of our students, staff, and community - all make Thurston an amazing place to be!

Weekly Update

Hello Thurston Families,

Today during ESP, our leadership class organized the last SMART assembly of the year. In order to participate in this SMART assembly, students needed over 35+ SMART cards! Over 170 students attended. Thanks to our incredible and generous PTA, many students were awarded prizes that included movie tickets, gift cards and even an IPOD touch! It was a great morning, and such a pleasure to recognize our very SMART students.

o   Blue and Gold Awards at 7:00 PM at LBHS Artists Theatre

o   Last Day of Late Busses AND Homework Club

o   7:45 AM Mandatory 8^th grade promotion practice in the gym
o   9:15 AM – 5:30 PM 8^th grade Knott’s Berry Farm trip
