  • Today is the last day to turn in donations for the LBHS Food Drive.  ASB students will be doing a final collection today during 4th period.
  • Attention all girls interested in softball this year:  Please mark your calendars for Monday, November 27th.  Softball will be meeting in the Library at 3:00 to talk about the upcoming season. If you have any questions please contact Coach Crawford @ jcrawford@lbusd.org . 
  • The Hope Renewed Club is meeting at lunch today in Mrs. Johnson’s room and the Interact Club is meeting in Mr. Wittkop’s room.

Youth Service America and the Walt Disney Company are thrilled to announce that Sam Reynolds has been selected to receive a $500  2017  DISNEY BE INSPIRED GRANT for the project EVERY KID SHOULD PLAY sponsored by Ten Boys Who Care.  Well done, Sam and Congratulations!

The Global Outreach Club has lent over $1000 to 41 countries across the globe.  Join the fun in Mr. Todd’s room at lunch today

 

  • Please join ASB in supporting the Laguna Food Pantry in our annual food drive.  Drop off non-perishable items to your 4th period class or directly to the Activities Office.
  • The library will be closed after school today, Tuesday, and Wednesday for Senior interviews.
  • There will be a Boys Soccer parent meeting tonight  in the LBHS library from 6:30-7:30pm. All players who were selected for the soccer program must have at least one parent/guardian present.

 

  • Any boys interested in playing golf this year should attend a short orientation and sign-up meeting today after school at 2:45 pm in room 87.  The meeting will provide information on the program, pre-season and tryouts.  All returning players and any new students who want to tryout should attend.
  • Members of the Boys F/S Soccer team team should meet in the library directly after school today to take their baseline concussion testing with Trainer Tim Crilly. The test will take approximately 30 minutes and players should bring their own laptop with them to take it.

  • It’s ON!   Mrs. Merritt’s 4th period is currently in the food drive lead with 83 items.  Will Mrs. Merritt’s class take the title away from Ms. McLellan this year?  Drop off your food drive donations to the box I your 4th period class or directly to the Activities Office.
  • The deadline for Seniors to have their yearbook photo taken has been extended to December 1.  If you have received a notice and have questions or if you are not sure if you had your photo taken, stop by the Activities Office for more information.
  • National Honors Society is meeting in room 61 at lunch today.

 

 

  • Please join ASB and the Food Pantry Club in supporting the Laguna Food Pantry in our annual FOOD DRIVE.  Please turn in non-perishable food items to your 4th period class or directly to the Activities Office.   The class that brings in the most food items by Friday Nov. 17th will receive a pizza lunch.  See the list posted in your class for the Pantry’s most needed items.

  • FCA is meeting today at lunch in Mrs. Lundblad's room! Come for food, friends, inspiration, and a great time! You don't need to be a Christian or an athlete to participate.
  • The Debate Club is meeting in Mr. Todd’s room at lunch today.

 

  • Girls Basketball tryouts will be today from 3-5PM in the North gym.  If you have ever played or thought about playing basketball, come tryout and bring a friend.
  • The library will be closed on Friday morning for a staff meeting.
  • Congratulations to the Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams who both were crowned Orange Country League Champs and are ranked in the top 10 in State.  Ryan Smithers also won the individual League Championship.   All League Runners for the boys were:  Ryan Smithers, Luc LaMontagne, and Zac Falkowski.  The girls were:  Evie Cant, Jessie Rose, Angelina Dyrnaes, Sierra Read, Grace La Montagne and Kaitlin Rya
  • Boys soccer tryouts will take place this Friday, November 3rd, from 5:30-7:15pm. Tryouts will then continue on Monday the 6th & Tuesday the 7th from 2:45-3:50pm. All students must be medically cleared through the athletic department if they wish to participate.
